GAA Corvette Results

It was another interesting auction at GAA.

Bidding was quite active with 31 of the vehicles bidding at $100,00 or more.  Eighteen of these found new owners with a price range of $100,00-$198,000.  Top honors went to a 1967 Ford Mustang GT500E.  Holding the number two position was a restored 1977 Ford Bronco Sport at $175,000.  Third spot at $172,000 went to a 2023 Dodge Challenger D170.Representing top NO SALE category for the auction was a 2015 Ferrari S161 that bid to $250,000.As usual, our prime interest with the Corvette category with 50 crossing the auction block and all eight generations were represented.  The sales ratio was 65% or 2 of every 3 Corvettes crossing the auction block found a new home.  All eight of the generations registers one or more sales each.Somewhat unusual was the high sale price for the Corvettes at $155,000.  Representing this number were two Vettes, both related to the 1963 Split Window Coupe.  The first was a ‘stock’ 1963 Coupe with a 327-360 fuel-injected motor (NOM) and a frame-off restoration.  The other at $155,000 was a 2009/63 Retro-Vette Conversion (a base 2009 model with 1963 body panels).  Both of these were Red in color.  Rounding out the top three was a 1967 Coupe with a 427-390 motor, with side exhaust and was Sunfire Yellow in color, it sold for $108,000.See attached grid for specifics on each of the 40 Corvettes at the GAA Auction. It is never too late to begin planning a trip to the next GAA Auction in Greensboro, NC on July 25-27 where 800 vehicles are estimated to cross the auction block in the air-conditioned auction facility – THE PALACE _, with ample convenient no-cost parking.
